Dentures

When you’re missing teeth, you may find that your abilities to speak and chew are severely affected. Your teeth play a vital role in helping you eat and talk, which is why they are so important to maintain. If you’ve already lost your teeth, there’s no need to despair. At Southwest Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics with Adult Dentistry, we have a solution to replacing missing teeth. Our dentists can fit you for a custom pair of dentures.

Types of Dentures

There are many types of dentures available to our patients who qualify. We offer full dentures, partial dentures, and implant-supported dentures. Your dentist will consult with you about which pair of dentures may be best suited to your preferences and circumstances.

  • Full Dentures: Full dentures are made to replace your entire teeth on either the top or bottom of your mouth. They are completely removable, making them easy to clean and maintain. You can either brush them or use denture cleanser to sanitize them. Full dentures are held into place using the suction of your mouth.
  • Partial Dentures: Partial dentures are better suited for patients who are missing a few teeth. They are made to replace some of your teeth rather than all of them. Your missing teeth don’t need to be in a row either. These dentures leave space for your natural teeth. They are also easy to remove and clean.
  • Implant-Supported Dentures: Implant-supported dentures are a set of full dentures that are anchored to your mouth using implants. The implants help reduce and even eliminate slipping and sliding of your dental prosthetic. These dentures can be either permanent/fixed or removable.
